Weight loss hints and tips

In planning a meal plan, the most important step is to make efforts to lower your intake of fat, salt and refined carbohydrates.
Some lower carb diet guidlines:
* Use reduced carbohydrate chocolate bars for cookies and muffins. Once you have converted your best loved chocolate chip cookie or muffins recipe using soy flour, you don’t want to add in those high carbohydrate full-sugar chocolate. Cut up a reduced carbohydrate choccie bar into small pieces and use that as an alternative.

* Use splenda instead of sugar. Many recipes that use sugar can be modified to make use of a sugar replacement instead. It doesn't weigh the same so you will need to do a bit of trial and error and it may not work for everything, but it gives pretty good results in most cases.

Superfoods containing flavonoids
(inlcudes olive oil, brussels sprouts, soy and chamomile)

The flavonoids which exist in these types of food are thought to have properties in helping to prevent cancer.
Experts investigating the medical effects of flavonoids suspect that they could have many other health giving properties, amongst them, anti-viral and antitumor properties.
Most also have a low calorie count, so make sure you add them to your weight loss regime.
