Old-Fashioned Raisin Cinnamon Bagels Recipe
Recipe Ingredients
1 POUND
3/4 cup water
1 tbsp vegetable oil
1 tbsp malt syrup, molasses or
1 white sugar
3/4 tsp salt
1 1/2 tsp cinnamon
2 3/4 cup bread flour
1 1/2 tsp active dry yeast
1/2 cup dark or golden raisins, at
1 beep*
1 1/2 POUND
1 1/4 cup water
2 tbsp vegetable oil
2 tbsp malt syrup, molasses or
1 white sugar
1 tsp salt
2 tsp cinnamon
3 1/3 cup bread flour
2 tsp active dry yeast
1 dark or golden raisins, at
1 beep*
Recipe Preparation
*Or five minutes before the end of the kneading phase, or work into
dough.
The familiar, or old-fashioned, raisin cinnamon white bagel is a
"can't miss" appetite-pleaser. Knead in another tablespoon or so of
cinamon before shaping the bagel for a marbleized look.
