A few tips on healthy eating
If you enjoy eating, but want to get in shape and improve your overall vitality, then, as most people know, you need to start a thoughtfully prepared well-balanced meal plan. In a perfect world, this needs to contain 5 standard portions of grains, fruit and vegetables daily and embrace the right proportion of food types.
Some lower carbohydrate diet pointers:
* Replace sugar with splenda.
Most recipes that require sugar can be changed to make use of splenda. It is much lighter so you will need to do a bit of trial and error and it might not work in every case, but it does a decent job once you have it cracked.
Foods containing carotenes
(includes cilantro, mangos and winter squash)
These foods contain alpha-carotene and beta-carotene believed to play a major part in preventing cancer, particularly those cancers involving the lungs. Most also have a low calorie count, so are ideal for including in your weight loss program.
