Some reduced carbohydrate diet tips:
* You can make delicious smoothies using reduced carb yogurt.
Admittedly, you can't really call it cooking, but if you must have smoothies you can throw them together with reduced carb yogurt and fruit. Obviously, you should ensure you use fruit that is low in carbohydrates and use the whole fruit as the fiber is beneficial.
* Fiber is essential
Decreasing the carbohydrates in your diet usually leads to fiber reduction as well. Check for reduced carbohydrate recipes that are rich in fiber to restore the balance.
Foods containing allyl sulfides

The onion and garlic family of foods is rich in allyl sulphides, a chemical which experts believe could be linked to a reduced risk of stomach and colon cancer.
Even though there is not much scientific evidence published, allyl sulphides are also thought by many experts to aid in colds, arteriosclerosis and diabetes.
Foods containing allyl sulfides are also good for weight loss, so should be included in every diet.
