Curry Stock Recipe

Recipe Preparation

INGREDIENTS:

3 pt Water 2 Spanish Onions, peeled, chopped 1 ts Garlic puree 1 ts
Ginger puree 1 tb ghee 2 ts Salt
10 Cloves 10 Green Cardamoms 6 Pieces Cassia bark 6 Bay leaves

DIRECTIONS:

1. Boil the water then add everything else.

2. Simmer for 1 hour with the lid on, by which time the stock should
have reduced by half.

3. Strain and discard the soilds.

4. If you like, use 8 ozs meat off-cutts and bones at stage 2 in
addition to the other ingredients.

Advice on losing weight

Make sure that you drink enough fluids. Your body requires water , it is crucial for our body's health and has no fat. It is also good in that it fills the drinker's belly and decreases feelings of emptiness. The recommended portions physicians claim that we should aim to drink as much as six cups of water every 24 hours.
Some low carbohydrate diet guidlines:
* You can create really nice smoothies with reduced carbohydrate yogurt. Admittedly, you can't really describe it as cooking, but if you are missing your smoothies you can throw them together with reduced carb yogurt and fruit. Obviously, you will need to make sure you use only fruit that is low in carbs and use the whole fruit as the fiber is important too.

* Make low carb bread crumbs for deep fried foods. Whilst you can sometimes buy low carb breadcrumbs, you can make them at home by using reduced carbohydrate bread. Simply toast the reduced carb bread in your oven on a sheet of baking paper. Once it is quite hard and crispy, process it in the food processor or blender. To store, keep in an airtight jar or container.

The onion and garlic range of vegetables is rich in allyl sulphides, a chemical which experts believe could be linked to a reduced risk of stomach and colon cancer.
Even though there is little definitive proof obtainable, allyl sulfides are also thought by many researchers to reduce symptoms with blood circulation, sterilization and diabetes.

Foods containing allyl sulfides are also good for weight loss, so should be included in your diet system.
