Shiitake Mushroom Gravy Recipe
Recipe Ingredients
1 tbsp sesame oil
1 1/4 cup mushrooms, shiitake, finely chopped
2 tsp agar-agar, dissolved in 1 cup boilin
1 1/2 tsp salt
3/4 tsp black pepper
Recipe Preparation
In a small saucepan, brown the onions in sesame oil for 5 minutes.
Stir in the mushrooms and cook an additional 3 to 4 minuts over
medium heat. The mixture should be dark brown when done. Add the
remaining ingredients and cook over medium heat for an additional 3
minutes till gravy thickens. Serve over rice or crepes.
Yield: 1 1/4 cups
