Food Tips of the Week
Dieting tipsIf you wish to become slim and boost your all round health, then, as any dietician will tell you, you really should eat a thoughtfully calculated sensible daily routine. At best, this should include five measures of grains and vegetables each day and also incorporate the right mix of important nutrients.
Some reduced carb diet tips:
* Fiber is crucial Cutting the carbs in your meals often leads to fiber reduction also. Check for low carbohydrate recipes that are rich in fiber to restore the balance.
* Make reduced carb bread crumbs for breaded foods. Although you can sometimes buy reduced carbohydrate breadcrumbs, you may make them yourself by simply using low carbohydrate bread. All you have to do is toast the low carb bread in a gas or electric oven on a sheet of baking paper. When it is quite hard and crispy, grind it in your blender. Keep in an airtight jar or container.
Foods containing allyl sulfides
( includes pickled shallots, white onions and green onion)
The onion and garlic family of foods is rich in allyl sulphides, a chemical which experts believe could be linked to a reduced risk of stomach and colon cancer.
Even though there is not much scientific evidence published, allyl sulphides are also thought by many experts to aid in colds, arteriosclerosis and diabetes.
Foods containing allyl sulfides are also good for weight loss, so should be included in every diet.
