Super Crab-A-Tizers Recipe
Recipe Ingredients
1/2 cup chopped onion
1/2 cup chopped green pepper
1 vegetable oil
2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
2 can (120g each) crab meat,
1 drained
1 can (10oz/284ml) mushrooms,
1 drained, chopped
16 dare breton crackers,
1 crushed
8 eggs, beaten
Recipe Preparation
In large saucepan saute onion and green pepper in small amount of hot
oil until tender; remove from heat. Add cheese, crab meat, mushrooms
and cracker crumbs to pan; toss well. Stir in beaten eggs. Spoon
mixture into greased miniature muffin pans or tart tins. Bake in 350F
(180C) oven for 15 minutes or until done. Makes 3 to 4 dozen.

Diet tipsAt the start of a diet, people most certainly look at food store and big brand food items labelled 'low in fat'. To do this is far too often a miscalculation, in that an item could be significantly reduced in fats, but nevertheless elavated in calories and carbs.
Some reduced carb diet guidlines:
* Understand the food labels Watch out for the food label that proclaims 'low carb' - check the nutritional information on the rear of the can or package. Some are only a little less and in some cases still higher than a competitors normal brand. Also, beware of 'low sugar' and 'low fat' labels - 'low sugar' doesn't always mean 'low carb' - often the carbs are identical.
* Use reduced carbohydrate chocolate for chocolate muffins. If you have taken the time to convert your tasty chocolate chip cookie or muffins recipe using soy flour, it would be madness to mix in those high carbohydrate standard chocolate. Chop up a reduced carb bar of chocolate into tiny chunks and use that in its place.

The flavonoids found in these natural foods are thought by nutritionalists to have properties in fighting cancer.
