this step if you've just cooked your chickpeas].
Now that summer's heat is keeping our range-top and oven use to a
minimum, I thought you might enjoy this salad from Madhur Jaffrey's
_World of the East Vegetarian Cooking_. It sounds spicier than it
really is.
In a serving bowl, combine chickpeas with the other ingredients. Mix
well and set aside, unrefrigerated, for 1 hour. Mix again. Serve cold
or at room temperature.

Food Tips of the Week
Dieting made easyOne useful tip is to drink plenty of water. From time to time at some stage in a hectic morning, you guess that you want a snack but in fact you might just need a refreshing glass of water or orange squash. The feelings of needing food and needing a drink are quite similar, but one of the two can lead to a broken diet and the other is ok.
Some reduced carb diet pointers:
* Make reduced carbohydrate bread crumbs for deep fried foods. Whilst you can buy low carb bread crumbs, you may make them yourself by simply using low carb bread. Simply toast the low carb bread in a preheated oven on a cookie sheet. Once it is well toasted, process it in the food processor or blender. To store, keep in a tupperware container.
Foods high in flavonoids
(inlcudes onion, broccoli, kidney bean and basil)
The nutrients called 'flavonoids' which exist in these natural foods are believed to be good as cancer fighters.
Experts researching the medical effects of flavonoids think that they may well have numerous health giving capabilities, amongst them, anti-dermatitis and antioxidant properties.
Many are also low in calories, so you should add them to your diet system.
