Italian Asparagus Recipe
Recipe Ingredients
1/2 lb asparagus spears, cooked or canned
1/4 cup tomato sauce
1/4 cup water
1/2 tsp oregano
1/4 tsp garlic powder
1 salt and pepper to taste
1/2 cup swiss cheese
Recipe Preparation
Lay asparagus spears in shallow baking dish coated with vegetable
cooking spray. Blend Tomato Sauce, water, oregano, garlic powder,
salt, and pepper. Bake at 350F for 25 to 30 minutes. Microwave: Cook
on High for 5-6 minutes. Food Exchange per servings: 1/2 VEGETABLE
EXCHANGE + 1/2 MEAT EXCHANGE

Dieting made easyOne useful tip is to drink plenty of water. From time to time at some stage in a hectic morning, you guess that you want a snack but in fact you might just need a refreshing glass of water or orange squash. The feelings of needing food and needing a drink are quite similar, but one of the two can lead to a broken diet and the other is ok.
Some lower carb diet guidlines:
* Eat regular meals Most reduced carb recipes are, you won't be surpised to learn, low in carbs. We all need energy, and carbs are a quick acting energy source. A low carb diet requires great care in controlling your energy levels, as any energy contributed by non-carbohydrate sources is slower acting.
* Use reduced carb chocolate bars for cookies and muffins. Once you have converted your favorite chocolate cookie or chocolate muffins recipe using soy flour, you dont want to mix in those high carbohydrate full-sugar chocolate. Cut up a reduced carb bar of chocolate into little pieces and use that in its place.
Superfoods containing carotenes
(includes paprika, turnip greens and winter squash)
These natural foods are rich in carotenes (alpha and beta) believed to play a major part in minimizing the risk of cancer, spefically cancer of the stomach. Many are low in calories, so should be a part of every weight loss program.
