Blueberry Sauce (Spicer)

 

Ingredients

2 cup blueberries, fresh or frozen
1 tbsp orange juice concentrate uns
1/2 cup sweetener like sugartwin pwd



 

Preparation

In a saucepan, combine blueberries and orange juice concentrate.
Bring to a boil, reduce heat slightly and cook, stirring, for 20
minutes or until juice has nearly evaporated.

Stir in sweetener. Cook 5 minutes longer. Spoon into sterilized
container and seal with sterilized lid. Store in cool, dry, dark
place. Or cover and store in refrigerator up to 4 weeks. Makes 1 cup

1 tb as spread, 1++ extra, 2 g carbohydrate, 13 calories 1/4 cup as
sauce, 1 fruit choice, 10 g carbohydrate, 1 g protein.

Variation: Substitute raspberries, gooseberries or blackberries.
