Aunt Cissie's Banana Cream Pudding

 

Ingredients

1 cup sugar
3 tbsp cornstarch
2 cup milk, scalded
2 eggs separated
1/2 tsp vanilla
1 bananas
1 vanilla wafers



 

Preparation

Put sugar, cornstarch, salt and 1-3/4 cups of milk in heavy sauce
pan. Cook until firm. Add egg yolks to remaining 1/4 cup of milk and
mix well together. Add to hot mixture. Cook until eggs are done. Add
vanilla. Pour over crumbled vanilla wafers and sliced bananas. Cover
with whole cookies. Cool and serve. Note: You have to stir this all
the time it is cooking. This can be doubled if you want.
