“You better cut the pizza in four pieces because I’m not hungry enough to eat six.”
Yogi Berra

"Believe it or not, American’s eat 75 acres of pizza a day."

"The dishes of the present day are very light, and they have a particular delicacy and perfume. The secret has been discovered of enabling us to eat more and to eat better, as also to digest more rapidly....The new cookery is conductive to health, to good temper, and to long life....Who could enumerate all the dishes of the new cuisine? It is an absolutely new idiom. I have tasted viands prepared in so many ways and fashioned with such art that I could not imagine what they were."

Garam Masala No5

Ingredients

1/2 cup black pepper
6 tbsp dark caraway seeds
2 1/2 tbsp ground cinnamon
1/2 cup coriander
2 1/2 tbsp ground cloves
2 tbsp cardamom seeds

Preparation

Pick over the ingredients and remove any husks or strawy bits. Grind
together in a blender or finely adjusted coffee grinder. Do not make
the mixture too fine. Stor in an airtight container and keep for use
in the recipes.

NOTE: This Garam masala is fragrant and strong. Its robust flavour
goes well with meat, fried and braised foods. Try it sprinkled on
fried potatoes, with a pinch of tumeric. Sprinkle a lttle on yogurt,
sour cream and curd cheeses.
