Food Tips of the Week
Dieting tipsIf you wish to become slim and boost your all round health, then, as any dietician will tell you, you really should eat a thoughtfully calculated sensible daily routine. At best, this should include five measures of grains and vegetables each day and also incorporate the right mix of important nutrients.
Some lower carbohydrate diet tips:
* Dietary fiber is important Decreasing the carbs in your meals usually leads to fiber reduction also. Look out for low carb recipes that are rich in fiber to restore the balance.
* Make reduced carbohydrate breadcrumbs for breaded foods. While you can sometimes buy reduced carb bread crumbs, you may make them yourself by simply using reduced carb bread. Simply toast the low carb bread in your oven on a sheet of baking paper. When it is well toasted, process it in the food processor using a coarse blade. Keep in a tupperware jar or container.
Carotenoid foods
(includes parsley, rose hip puree and sweet potatoes)
These orange and green foods are rich in alpha-carotene and beta-carotene thought by doctors to play a role in helping stop cancer, particularly cancers of the stomach and lesophagus. Most are low in calories, so should be included in every weight loss regime.
