Ginger Cupcakes

 

Ingredients

2/3 cup molasses
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup shortening
1 tsp ginger
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp baking soda
2 cup sifted cake flour
1 cup sour milk
2 eggs, beaten



 

Preparation

Heat first 5 ingredients to boiling, stirring constantly. Cool to
lukewarm. Sift soda and flour together and add alternately with milk
and eggs, beating thoroughly after each addition. Pour into greased
muffin pans and bake in a 350 degree oven for 15 minutes. Makes 16
