Apple Nut Coffee Cake Recipe
Recipe Ingredients
1/2 cup shortening
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
2 cup flour
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda salt
1 cup sour cream
2 cup apple, finely chopped
1 topping:
1/2 cup nuts, chopped
1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
1 tsp cinnamon, ground
2 tbsp butter, melted
Recipe Preparation

Preheat oven to 350F. In mixing bowl, cream together shortening and
sugar. Add eggs and vanilla, beat well. Combine flour, baking powder,
baking soda and salt. Add to creamed mixture, alternating with sour
cream. Fold in apple. Spread batter in greased 13 X 9 X 2" baking pan
or large greased bundt pan. Combine nuts, brown sugar, cinnamon and
butter. Sprinkle nut mixture evenly over batter. Bake 350F for 35-40
minutes.
