Holiday Highland Dressing
Ingredients
2 cup quaker oats, uncooked - (quick or o, ld-fashioned)
4 cup dry bread cubes
1/2 cup butter or margarine, melted
1 medium onion, grated
1 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
1/4 tsp poultry seasoning (optional)
1/4 tsp sage (optional)
2 tbsp water
Preparation
Place oats and bread cubes in large bowl. Combine remaining
ingredients. Add to oats mixture; toss gently to mix.
Stuff lightly into body cavity and neck region of turkey. Roast
according to standard roasting directions. For one 10 to 12-lb.
turkey.
