Food Tips of the Week
Dieting made easyOne useful tip is to drink plenty of water. From time to time at some stage in a hectic morning, you guess that you want a snack but in fact you might just need a refreshing glass of water or orange squash. The feelings of needing food and needing a drink are quite similar, but one of the two can lead to a broken diet and the other is ok.
Some low carb diet tips:
* Don't miss meals Most reduced carbohydrate recipes are, errmm.., low in carbs. Our bodies need energy, and carbohydrates are a quick acting energy source. A lower carb diet requires great care in monitoring you intake of energy, as any energy provided by fat or protein is much slower acting.
Flavonoid foods
(inlcudes citrus fruits, brussels sprouts, scarlet runner bean and cayenne)
The flavonoids found in these natural foods are thought by nutritionalists to have properties in fighting cancer.
Nutritionalists researching the medical effects of flavonoids think they also have many other benefits to our health, amongst them, antiviral and antioxidant powers.
Most also have a low calorie count, so should be a part of every weight loss program.
