Appetizers are small first course dishes presented before the entree or main meal.


These are typically served at the beginning of the meal in order to inspire the appetite.

Pumped Up Popcorn

 

Ingredients


PHYLLIS SMITH WCDT64B

1/4 cup vegetable oil
8 med. cloves garlic, minced
2 1/4 tsp chili powder
1/4 tsp cayenne pepper, (scant)
4 oz bag plain popcorn
1 kosher salt



 

Preparation

Place oil, smashed, peeled and minced garlic, chili powder and
cayenne in a small saucepan over very low heat. Cook, stirring
occasionally, for five minutes.
Place popcorn in a large bowl. Pour the spice mixture over and toss
to coat. Hands work best for this. Season with salt to taste and
