1/3 cup shortening
1/4 cup sugar
1/2 cup molasses
1 1/2 cup flour
1/2 tsp soda
1/4 tsp salt
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp mace
1 tsp nutmeg
1/4 tsp ginger
1/4 tsp allspice
2 1/2 cup mixed candied fruit
Heat oven to 325. Mix shortening, sugar, molasses & egg. Stir dry
ingredients; blend into shortening mixture. Stir in fruit. Drop by
teaspoonfuls about 1" apart on lightly greased baking sheet. Bake
